New summary experience in Dynamics 365 Sales

Have you heard about the latest update to Dynamics 365 Sales? The 2025 Release Wave 2 brings a powerful enhancement: AI-powered summaries are now embedded directly into your records—no more side panes, no extra clicks—just the insights you need, right where you work.

What’s New and Why It Matters

  • In-form, AI-enabled insights: Sellers will now see a sleek Copilot-powered summary banner at the top of Lead, Opportunity, and Account records—delivering critical context like estimated value and close date instantly on record load.

  • Seamless productivity: This embedded experience removes unnecessary navigation and keeps sellers focused, helping them act on opportunities faster and with greater confidence.

  • Advanced control? Check: Users can still:

    • Copy summaries into emails or notes,

    • Rate the content via thumbs-up/down feedback,

    • Regenerate summaries or ask Copilot for fresh ones via the side chat—offering flexibility without disruption. 

When & How It Rolls Out

  • Early access began in July 2025 for opt-in environments.

  • Starting September 2025, this new summary experience becomes the default for all users in Dynamics 365 Sales.
